The 1971 Pavie is a graceful, well-balanced, fruity, soft, elegant wine that always impressed me as being among the most restrained and subdued of the 1971 St.-Emilions. Now beginning to lose its fruit, this medium-bodied wine still has charm and finesse, but is displayed in an understated way. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 3/86.
