Tasted at the Denis Mortet Chambertin vertical, the 1992 Chambertin Grand Cru has a light forest floor-scented bouquet with just a cheeky dab of camphor. The palate is medium-bodied with a ferrous tincture. Given the vintage, unsurprisingly there is a lack of fruit and the finish is quite sharp, tapering towards a meaty, again quite ferrous, shallow finish. Drink in the near future. Tasted January 2016.
