The 2003 Cavaliere shows the warmth and generosity Sangiovese is capable of in Maremma. It is a gorgeous, structured wine with plenty of fruit and lovely overall balance. Only the hard tannins of the hot vintage keep the score from going higher. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2018. Michele Satta is a small artisan producer based in Castagneto Carducci, in Maremma.
