The superb 2000 Montrachet has a flower, anise, spice, and mineral-scented nose. Medium to full-bodied and profound, this rich, concentrated wine offers intense layers of minerals, assorted white fruits, spices, and vanilla. While it does not possess the overwhelming depth of Prieur's finest Montrachets, this is undoubtedly one of the best wines of the 2000 vintage, combining power with refinement and expressiveness with harmony.
