The 1999 Barolo Enrico VI, whose grapes come from the Villero vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, features ripe, almost jammy, plum and black cherry fruit, cinnamon, and cloves. Denser, longer, and more structured than the other two Barolo offerings, which come from La Morra, it shows more tar and licorice, more tannin, and a greater intensity. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2018.
