Bottled in April 2009 without fining or filtration—another development chez Bouley—the 2007 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers offers up an inviting bouquet o sweet berry fruit, raw cocoa, sweet soil tones, peonies, black truffle and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, layered and charming, it's framed by melting tannins and lively acids, concluding with an impressively long finish. It is showing very well today.

Offering a mix of licorice-tinged plum flavors and oak spice, this red displays sweet fruit and well-integrated tannins. Full-bodied and powerful, with a spicy finish. Best from 2011 through 2018. 185 cases made. -BS
