Bigger and richer than the 1995 Chardonnay Overlook, the 1995 Chardonnay Damaris Reserve was aged in a higher percentage of new oak barrels. With more body and intensity, this spicy, well-defined, full-bodied, powerful Chardonnay's bouquet is reminiscent of lemon meringue pie. It offers up leesy, yeasty, bread-like aromas, along with honeyed, lemony, citrus notes. This rich, full-bodied, dense, promising wine should drink well for 2-3 years. This winery has emerged as a serious producer of both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but prices have not caught up with the new level of quality. Readers should put this knowledge to good use. Tel.
