The 1997 Chardonnay Damaris Reserve (about 2,500 cases produced) has a smoky, roasted nut, and honeysuckle-scented nose with tropical fruit and toast in the background. Layered, with excellent purity, power, richness, and underlying acidity, this is a top-flight Chardonnay from this underrated producer. Drink it over the next several years.
