The Ettore Germano 2016 Barolo Prapò offers depth and intensity with lots of savory, rich and dark characteristics. Fruit comes from Serralunga d'Alba from a 1.5-hectare plot at 330 to 370 meters above sea level. The wine is fermented on the skins up to 45 days and aged in barrel for two years. Despite that initial blast of black fruit, the wine reveals a very elegant and polished finish. It is tapered down and streamlined in terms of mouthfeel. Some 9,000 bottles will be released in September 2020.
