The 2010 Bolgheri Piastraia opens with sun-ripened notes of blackberry pie and mature prune with background tones of baked fig and exotic spice. The wine is smooth and soft with enormous density and bright, chewy dark fruit. The blend is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sangiovese, Anticipated maturity: 2014-2018.
