The 2005 Barolo Bricco Gattera is a very pretty, harmonious wine redolent of ripe, perfumed cherries, flowers, spices, licorice and minerals. The fruit remains fresh and vibrant through to the finish, where silky tannins leave clean, lingering sensations on the palate that invite a second taste. This is a very polished effort from Cordero di Montezemolo. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020. This is a lovely set of wines from Cordero di Montezemolo, one of the most picturesque properties in all of Piedmont.
