The 1999 Barolo Bricco Gattera, a fairly new wine for the house, is dark in color with a big nose of mocha, vanilla, and tar. Well endowed with an important concentration and extract, it needs a bit of time to absorb its oak and let the kirsch fruit and tar assume a greater presence. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2016.
