The 1988 and 1989 offerings are tasty, round, full-bodied, rustic, generously-endowed Barbarescos. Although the 1989 possesses a sweeter fleshiness, both wines offer fine aromatic character, plenty of depth, enough sweet fruit, softness, and tannin to be drunk now, yet the depth and grip to last for 10 or more years.
