This is a slightly more robust, softer and more fleshed out expression of Nebbiolo when compared to the other wines in this batch of new releases from Poderi Luigi Einaudi. The 2014 Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi sports broad shoulders and soft texture with dark cherry, licorice, cola and minor accents of rusty nail or wet earth. This wine ages in large oak casks for 30 months and any oak spice or smoke is very subtle and downplayed. Bottle production here is 5,706 units.
