The 2008 Vin du Gard Cabernet/Syrah (70% of the former and 30% of the latter) is a sleeper of the vintage that hit 15% natural alcohol, which is remarkable for this vintage. The 2007 Cabernet/Syrah (70% of the former and 30% of the latter) exhibits loads of smoky charcoal as well as blackberry and cassis fruit, with some licorice, forest floor, and other subtle, earthy undertones.
