Rich, red fruits have an unusually fresh and ripe presence in this lovely, well-balanced wine. Strawberries, raspberries and a spicy perfume of orange peel and star anise give this beauty a memorable aroma before tangy, nicely tannic sour cherries and cranberries take over the palate. Best from 2027.

Pretty ripe berries and bouquets of flowers. Some earth, too. Full-bodied with very fine tannins. Chewy still but ends velvety and polished. Very drinkable now but better in two or three years.

A dense yet eloquent red, with freshly mown hay, eucalyptus and mint aromas that segue to raspberry, kirsch and rose flavors. Supple and fruity, with terrific cut and a long aftertaste based on the red fruit profile. Reveals beautifully integrated tannins. Held back for an extra year of bottle age, the 2018 Barolo Liste shows a metallic note of rust or iron that adds a savory or dry flavor profile. Those reddish mineral notes cede to dried cherry and blackcurrant, and the wine also has a hint of balsam or medicinal herb. It ends on a powerful note with a 15% alcohol content. Production is 7,000 bottles.

Rich yet well-structured, this red evokes cherry, raspberry, floral, eucalyptus, tar and soy flavors. A dense matrix of tannins keeps this compact and shy now, yet there is ample fruit at the core.
