The 2014 Barolo Liste is released one year later than Damilano's other Barolos. This wine shows a slightly burnt aroma of scorched earth and ash with easy fruit and tight, streamlined definition. This vintage is a bit thinner and less consequential in terms of mouthfeel. Serve it with grilled pork or veal chops. The wine ages in large oak casks for two years followed by two years in bottle. Some 7,400 bottles were made.

A big, rich version, offering a salty cast to the cherry, berry, licorice and tobacco aromas and flavors. Dense and dry, with assertive tannins plying the monolithic finish. Best from 2022 through 2036. 615 cases made, 150 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barolo Select to Add
