The 2011 The Evil Twin is a blend of 65% Syrah and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged 22 months in 100% new French oak. Lacking a little complexity at the moment, with straightforward dark fruits, chocolate, spice and toast, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful freshness and fine tannin that emerges on the finish. Give it another year or two and enjoy bottles over the following decade. Winemaker Chris Gorman continues to fashion rock star, full-throttle wines that stay balanced and drinkable.
