The 2007 The Evil Twin is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new oak. A glass-coating opaque purple, it offers up an already complex bouquet of wood smoke, earth, mineral, bacon, game, violets, black currant, and blueberry. Full-bodied on the palate, dense, and extracted, it has plenty of underlying tannin, spicy flavors, mineral and earth notes, and a lengthy finish. Give it 2-3 years to become a bit more civilized and drink it through 2022.
Gorman Winery, owned, operated, and staffed entirely by Chris Gorman, began in 2002 and currently produces 3000 cases out of a Woodinville warehouse.
