The 1992 Hermitage Marquise de la Tourette, usually a top cuvee from Delas Freres, is rich, with plenty of cassis fruit, medium to full body, but not much complexity. It is a powerful, young wine capable of lasting another 10-15 years. It is uncertain in what direction this firm is going to move, but given the competition in the worldwide marketplace, Delas Freres' wines have to improve, particularly at the lower level.
