Bruno Rocca has done a terrific job with the 2012 Barbaresco. This base wine is slightly more approachable and simple in style, but it ultimately offers the trademark complexity and depth that you should expect from top-tier Barbaresco. In the case of the 2012 vintage, the wine is especially generous in terms of its aromatic intensity and integrity. Wet earth, dark fruit, plum and pressed roses rise from the bouquet. In the mouth, the wine feels tonic, tight and fresh.
