The 2011 Barbaresco is a toned and elegant wine that opens to thick layers and soft fruit flavors. Black cherry, prune, spice, leather and tobacco emerge from the bouquet. The wine exhibits a thick, heavy style that is characteristic of the warm 2011 vintage. Soft tannins and bold flavors of blackberry and exotic spice round off the close.

Though ripe, this stays grounded, featuring mineral and earth notes coursing through the core of cherry, floral and spice flavors. Succulent and harmonious, with a light dusting of tannins lingering along with fruit and spice details.
