Showing a mildly textured approach, the 2015 Orvieto Classico Superiore Campo del Guardiano opens to honey, pine nut, quince, pear and Golden Delicious apple. You might also notice mildly oxidized aromas of butterscotch and candied fruit. This white wine is slightly more robust on a scale of Orvieto white wines. Some 10,000 bottles were made.

Light-bodied and finely meshed, featuring an overtone of graphite and spice, sleek acidity and apricot, white cherry, Meyer lemon peel and almond skin notes. Creamy, with a lingering, zesty finish.
