The 2008 Orvieto Classico Superiore Campo del Guardiano is stunningly beautiful for its inner sweetness and perfume. Mint, sage, peaches and flowers are some of the nuances that emerge from this textured, impeccable Orvieto. As delicious as the wine is today, it clearly has the stuffing to age well for at least a handful of years, if not significantly longer. The finish is round, textured and totally inviting. The Campo del Guardiano comes from a parcel of old vines at high altitudes and was aged in steel. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.
