Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges from Robert Chevillon has a pastille-like purity on the nose with raspberry coulis and cranberry leaf notes, good terroir expression with judicious sous-bois scents emerging with time. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crunchy red berries, matched by a fine seam of acidity, although it's pastille-like finish feels a little more like a New World Pinot Noir than Burgundy! Still, it stays true to the style of the domaine and time will allow it to develop more character. Tasted November 2016.
