This is one of the two stars of the Chevillon stable. This wine has the greatest depth of fruit and length of Chevillon's 1986s. The Saint-Georges, while quite tannic, is rich, long, complete, and should be at its best between 1994-2000.
Chevillon also made very high-quality 1987s, but his production in that vintage is tiny because of hail damage in June. Here is a Burgundy producer whose wines can be bought with great confidence.
