Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 St Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly from Marc Colin did not really show well from barrel, but now in bottle it is clearly on form. It has a pretty, well-defined bouquet with scents of limestone, lime flower and smoke: very well defined and delineated. The palate is refined and detailed, lovely terroir expression here with a poised and vibrant, linear finish that lingers tenderly in the mouth. It needs another year to fully subsume the oak but it has great potential.
