The 2004 Miserere is a blend of 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Garnacha, 26% Tempranillo, 10% Merlot, and 10% Carinena aged for 12 months in French oak and bottled unfiltered. The 2004 is the best of this trio of the 2003-2005 as 2004 was a marvelous vintage in Priorat. Even more expressive aromatically, on the palate it offers surprising elegance, ripeness, and depth. Nearly seamless, it should deliver superb drinking with another 3-5 years of cellaring.
