The 1994 Miserere, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Carinena blend, exhibits the modern international style that is so popular in Italy's Tuscany and Piedmont sections, as well as Spain. Plenty of sweet, spicy, new French oak and blackcurrant notes are followed by a dark ruby/purple-colored, elegant wine with excellent richness, fine purity and balance, and a clean, stylish, sculptured winemaking style. It should drink well for 5-7 years. This well-made wine from one of Spain's most exciting viticultural areas, Priorato, is worth a search of the marketplace.
