The 1999 Miserere, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Carignan, spends 12 months in French oak before being bottled unfiltered. It is an elegant, mineral-laced, medium-bodied effort with notes of raspberry and cherry fruit, good purity, and a soft, tangy finish. It should drink well for 4-6 years. The only problem is the price.
