Brian Talley says 2011 was the beginning of a string of drought years and that yields were small this vintage. The 2011 Chardonnay Rosemary's Vineyard opens with gunflint, saline, white blossoms and stony tones over quince, aniseed, peach pit and candle smoke. Medium to full-bodied, it's intense, savory and just hinting at maturity, maintaining great freshness and finishing long and layered. This is drinking wonderfully now and still has plenty of life ahead.
