This relatively new domaine has turned out another group of fine wines. The 1991 Pinot Noir-Evenstead Reserve may turn out to be longer-lived. If it develops a more expansive palate, it will be a better wine as well. There is more evidence of new oak in its toasty, smoky, vanillin-scented nose. Deep ruby/purple-colored, the wine exhibits fine richness, medium body, excellent ripeness, and a long, spicy, more structured finish. It will benefit from another 6-12 months of bottle age and should keep for 7-8 years.
