The 2007 Reserva is a blend of 56% Manto Negro, 27% Tempranillo and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Callet, representing a selection of the best grapes and sees more aging in French oak. It has a rounded mulberry and mushy raspberry-scented bouquet that is clean, if lacking a little delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a tart cherry entry, sharp acidity, and a compact red berry and allspice-tinged finish that needs more persistency. It does not quite have the complexity of finesse I was looking for, but offers its own individual charm. Drink now-2015.
