Delicious sweet black fruits intermixed with a hint of licorice, herbs, and earth are presented in a supple-textured, fleshy, rather portly style of St.-Estephe that shows the vintage’s low acidity and up-front fruit. Drink it over the next 7-10 years. I have been waiting for this property to reassert itself since being taken over by the Roederer champagne firm. So far the early efforts have been good, but relatively uninspiring.
