Bernard Burgaud's 1994 Cote Rotie is still not bottled, but it is a rustic, tannic, deeply-colored, coarse style of Cote Rotie, with plenty of sweet, rich fruit underneath all the tannin. Patience is definitely required, and prospective purchasers must be able to defer their gratification The wine is tannic, backward, and in need of 4-5 years of cellaring. There appears to be enough richness, flesh, and fruit to survive the wine's power and structure. It should drink well for 10-12 years.
