The Tenuta la Fuga 2013 Brunello di Montalcino shows robust lines and a dark core of black fruit. This is a classic Brunello that delivers the distinctive intensity you should expect of a wine from this very special appellation in Southern Tuscany. Dried cherry and blackberry segue to spice, leather and rosemary sprig. The mouthfeel is velvety, soft and rich. Some 28,000 bottles were produced.

Aromas and flavors of ripe plum, chocolate, leather and soy are the hallmarks of this broad-shouldered red. Still, there's a fluid feel midpalate and the tannins fall into line on the lingering finish.
