Roger Perrin has fashioned a medium ruby-colored, spicy, stemmy, cherry-scented and flavored 1994 Chateauneuf du Pape. The wine possesses a firm underpinning of structure, but the overall impression is of a soft, medium to full-bodied, ripe, herbaceous wine for drinking over the next 3-4 years. This wine was tasted between June 1 and June 16, 1996.
