The red 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Baron is fully mature, with an open, evolved profile that includes plenty of sweet red cherries, forest floor, wild herbs and tobacco. Medium-bodied, fully integrated and ready to go, it should be consumed sooner rather than later. These were two respectable efforts from this domaine, both of which need consuming over the coming couple of years.
