The banana cream pie and anise-scented 2002 Meursault Perrieres is a big, fruity, medium to full-bodied wine with a long, focused, crystalline finish. Pure flavors of stones and spices can be found in its deep character. Drink it between 2005 and 2012.
Jean-Pierre Latour defines the 2002 vintage for white Burgundies as “tenderness plus fruit, like 1992 but with the freshness of 1996.” He went on to add that he was “stupefied by the completeness of the 2002s. Analytically, they are like the 2000s, but tender, not square like the 2000s.” This estate began harvesting its wines on the 20th of September.
