I loved the aromas of the Meursault Perrieres as they reminded me of a sweet green apple-flavored gum. This well-crafted offering reveals deep ripeness and excellent focus in its fresh, earthy, and mineral core. Over the last few years I've noticed Latour's use of new barrels become increasingly deft. This wine's gentle oak spice gorgeously permeates its flavor profile and persistent finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2005.
