The 2010 Meursault Les Narvaux is initially quite reductive, opening in the glass to reveal notes of lemon curd, citrus oil, crisp pear and dried white flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, incredibly concentrated and tense, with a deep, tight-knit and chalky core, underpinned by bright acids. The finish is searingly intense. Structurally, it could pass for a red wine. This is a Meursault that entirely transcends notions of appellation hierarchy, and it's still a decade away from the beginnings of maturity.
