The 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape (mostly Grenache blended with a small quantity of Mourvedre and aged in old oak barrels) displays powerful levels of fruit and glycerin along with a full-bodied, earthy, slightly structured style for a 2009. Although it is showing less impressive fruit and length than it did last year, it remains a very fine Chateauneuf du Pape that should age nicely for at least a decade.
This relatively small Chateauneuf du Pape estate is owned by Coralie Goumarre.
