The 2004 Coleccion Privada is the product of a much better vintage. It received the same treatment as the 2003 but is a much more fruit-driven wine. The fruit is riper and sweeter, more layered and more nuanced. It is still a very young wine that merits 5-7 years of cellaring and should drink well through 2030. Attractive spice, new wood and red berry fruit. Good length, nice acidity and good structure. Very woody.
