The 2013 Les Comes d'Orto is a blend of 50% Garnacha Tinta, 45% Cari?ena and 5% Ull de Llebre (the local name of Tempranillo), from a diversity of old vineyards in low yielding valleys that are located in the village of El Masroig called Les Comes. It fermented in 500-liter oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and malolactic and one year of aging in used French barriques. The wine is a little more fragile, and while the nose is quite spectacular, it develops faster in the glass. This is a shorter-lived vintage. The medium-bodied palate has good balance, acidity and fine tannins. 2,800 bottles and 60 magnums were filled in June 2015.
