Compared to past years, this vintage offers extra pulp, texture and volume. The 2017 Fiano di Avellino shows the characteristics of what was a very hot, drought-prone growing season that resulted in extra fruit richness and concentration. However, this wine also shows careful balance, thanks to strict fruit selection. Feudi di San Gregorio does two harvests of their high-end Fiano and Greco grapes in order to keep quality high. The bouquet here offers stone fruit, poached pear and apple tart. As always, this wine offers excellent value.
