An excellent dry white is the 1998 Fiano di Avellino (produced from the grape of the same name). This light straw-colored wine exhibits a perfumed bouquet of roasted nuts and flowers, as well as terrific fruit, a nicely-textured mid-palate, and an expressive, rich, dry yet delicate finish.
