The 2015 Chianti Classico is a beautifully bright and lively expression of Sangiovese (with 10% Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo and Colorino). This wine makes great use of the extra heat of the vintage to present compact but rich fruit detailing. The acidity is there and so is that carefully executed balance between fruit and structure. In all, this is a mid-weight effort that keeps the palate clean and refreshed. Badia a Coltibuono offers great value here.

An elegant red, this exudes cherry and strawberry fruit and tobacco, spice, wild herb and mineral flavors, all backed by dense, dusty tannins. Shows fine length and potential.
