The 2008 Torresilo was sourced from 60-to 80-year-old vines, went through malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 18 months in barrique. Smoke, mineral, leather, violets, black cherry, and blackberry notes make up the bouquet of this elegant Tempranillo. Full-bodied on the palate but light on its feet, this is a spicy, ripe, elegant wine with medium length in the style of this very good but not outstanding vintage. Drink it from 2013 to 2023.
The Cillar de Silos wines are produced from 100% estate-grown fruit.
