The purple-colored 2006 Torresilo is 100% Tempranillo sourced from 60- to 80-year-old vines that is barrel-fermented and aged in new French oak for 16 months. The reticent nose offers up balsam wood, mineral, damp earth, black cherry, and blackberry. On the palate it has excellent depth and concentration, savory flavors, and enough structure to evolve for 4-6 years. It will be at its best from 2014 to 2026.
