The 1999 Barolo Giachini is the first wine from the vineyard I have tasted from this house. Medium garnet, it is full in its expression of dried roses, leather, wild fennel, and cherries, traditional in its structure and texture, but with fine smoothness to the tannins and good length on the finish.
